Job summary

Greenspring Village by Erickson Senior Living in Springfield, VA is hiring a Senior HVAC Technician to operate, maintain and repair critical building systems including heat pumps, refrigeration equipment, PRV valves, cooling towers, pumps and building automation systems.

The role emphasizes responsive maintenance, safety and reliability across our vibrant senior living community, with on-call overtime as needed and a strong focus on resident wellbeing and comfort.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience in HVAC service
• Must possess current EPA certification to handle refrigerants
• Education will be considered in lieu of experience

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment including heat pumps, pumps, motors and building automation systems
• Respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failure
• Inspect, monitor and evaluate the efficiency and safety of systems
• Read blueprints and isometrics, prepare sketches to document work
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance following manufacturer’s recommendations
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment and ice machines
