Job summary

Edwards Lifesciences in Salt Lake City is seeking a Senior HVAC Technologist, Facilities to oversee day-to-day operation, upkeep, and reliability of facility systems, ensuring a safe and compliant manufacturing environment. The role focuses on rooftop units (RTUs), preventive maintenance, and timely repair of HVAC/R components.

You will work with cross-functional teams and external contractors to minimize downtime and support life-changing patient solutions.

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma or equivalent with 7 years of experience maintaining commercial or industrial HVAC systems.
Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, lubrication, pneumatic, boiler, and/or autoclave.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for HVAC systems and support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on rooftop units (RTUs) and associated HVAC equipment.
Diagnose and repair HVAC/R system failures, including electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related issues.
Troubleshoot compressors, motors, fans, control circuits, sensors, thermostats, contactors, relays, and VFDs.
Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency service calls to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to evaluate processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
Provide training and guidance to lower level technicians.
