Job summary

CPG in Ashburn, VA is seeking a Critical Systems Technician III, HVAC to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair large commercial HVAC systems on-site. You will service chillers, boilers, air distribution equipment and building automation, with occasional after-hours support.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, EPA Universal Certification, a valid AZ Journeyman HVAC license, OSHA certification, and a VA/Maryland driver’s license, plus 7+ years of experience in large

Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of large commercial HVAC service experience; 8 years preferred.
EPA Universal certification required; journeyman license in HVAC strongly preferred.
OSHA certification and valid driving license for VA/MD required.
Pass background checks and training as required by clients.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repairs on HVAC equipment without supervision.
Service air and water-cooled chillers, boilers, vents, pumps and control systems.
Maintain and backup Building Automation Software; use DDC/PID/VFD controls.
Respond to after-hours calls; provide guidance to junior technicians.
Occasional on-call after hours; ensure regular attendance is maintained.
Travel up to 50% and comply with client security requirements.
