Job summary

Garrett - Advancing Motion is seeking aSenior HVAC Systems Architect in Torrance, CA to lead system-level design and optimization of cooling installations for data centers, industrial facilities, and warehouses. You will work with OEMs and customers to translate requirements into robust product specifications.

The role emphasizes energy-efficient configurations, multi-compressor architectures, and integration of controls with VFDs, with strong leadership and customer-facing responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive HVAC systems design experience and proven system-level expertise.
• Strong ability to translate application needs into product specifications.
• Experience with system-level analysis for complete cooling installations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical authority for OEMs, integrators, and key customers.
• Define and drive top-down system performance requirements and translate them into product specs.
• Lead system-level analysis and architecture for cooling installations across data centers, warehouses, and industrial facilities.
• Develop optimized HVAC configurations, including multi-compressor architectures, cascade and hybrid systems.
• Oversee start-up behavior, transient operation, and overall system dynamics.
