Job summary

Moderna is seeking a senior HVAC/mechanical engineer to lead the design and optimization of critical facilities and labs worldwide. You will provide hands-on guidance, ensure energy efficiency, and drive compliance with global regulatory standards while partnering with Facilities, EHS, Quality, and project teams.

The role emphasizes sustainable design, LEED/WELL considerations, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Qualifications

• PE license or equivalent certification required.
• LEED or WELL accreditation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FDA, EMA, ICH regulations.
• Experience managing international, large-scale projects.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC/mechanical design for energy-efficient, compliant projects.
• Serve as SME in HVAC, mechanical engineering, and sustainability.
• Drive adoption of innovative technologies to boost performance.
• Oversee design, construction and operation of international facilities.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop standardized engineering practices across global sites.
