Job summary

Daikin Applied in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician III. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial/industrial HVAC systems including rooftops, chillers, and boilers.

You will lead rebuilds, mentor Levels I/II, analyze chiller data, and ensure safety and quality while communicating with customers. Onsite travel may be required; active EPA certification is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required
• EPA approved Universal Technician Certification required, as necessary
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment and log machines, clean coils, replace filters and belts, lubricate as needed
• Repair and replace defective equipment and wiring related to fan coils, chillers, heat pumps, AHUs, rooftops and towers
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent breakdowns and callbacks
• Analyze chiller trend data to ensure optimal performance
• Perform warranty service inspections and testing to verify functionality
• Lead rebuilds and retrofit of commercial HVAC equipment; guide Levels I and II
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and other reports promptly
• Explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences; interact with customers
• Participate in training through regional trainers and Daikin Learning; maintain certifications
• Maintain a clean workspace and comply with safety policies; travel as needed
