Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas in Austin, TX is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician III to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC equipment including rooftop units, chillers, boilers, and water source systems. This onsite role also involves leading rebuilds and mentoring junior technicians while providing customers with status updates.

Requirements include 5+ years of related experience (or 7+), High School Diploma or GED, HVAC certificate, EPA

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience or 7+ related experience; or equivalent education/experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical HVAC certificate or equivalent experience
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Rotational Emergency Call Support as required
• EPA Universal Technician Certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance of commercial HVAC equipment including logging, cleaning coils, replacing filters and belts
• Repair and replace defective equipment and wiring for fan coils, chillers, AHUs, rooftops, and boilers
• Inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and callbacks
• Analyze chiller trend data for optimal performance
• Lead rebuilds and retrofits; mentor Levels I and II
• Record billing, inventory, timecards and reports
• Explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences
• Participate in regional training and maintain required certifications
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow OSHA/Daikin policies
• Potential travel with overnight stays
