Job summary

Alliance Group Services seeks an experienced HVAC Service Technician for its North Clarendon, Vermont service team. The role requires at least three years of hands-on HVAC experience in residential or commercial settings, plus EPA certification and a Vermont gas license (natural gas & propane preferred).

You will diagnose, repair, calibrate, and service a range of equipment, including boilers, chillers, mini-splits, and rooftop units.

Qualifications

• At least three years of direct HVAC experience in residential or commercial service environments.
• EPA certification.
• Vermont gas license covering natural gas and propane is strongly preferred.
• NORA oil certification is helpful.
• Strong troubleshooting and practical problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of HVAC/R and related mechanical system issues.
• Perform repairs and obtain replacement parts as necessary to return equipment to proper operation.
• Calibrate and service systems according to manufacturer recommendations and accepted industry practices.
• Safely perform and document scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Service equipment that may include mini-splits, boilers, refrigeration systems, oil and propane burners, chillers, rooftop units, and other HVAC equipment.
• Clearly communicate equipment conditions, service timelines, recommendations, and resolutions to customers.
• Document serviced and installed equipment, including make, model, serial number, fuel type, test measurements, and photographs when appropriate.
• Recognize potential opportunities for equipment upgrades, service agreements, or additional services and communicate those opportunities internally.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of parts, tools, materials, and safety equipment in the company vehicle.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment and service vehicle.
• Participate in the rotating on-call schedule and provide responsive service when assigned.
