Daikin Applied Americas in Greensboro, NC is seeking a full-time HVAC Service Technician III – Senior Chiller Mechanic to service commercial and industrial equipment. You’ll receive comprehensive training and lead the rebuilds/retrofits of HVAC systems while mentoring junior technicians.

A strong focus on safety, documentation, and customer communication is essential. The role requires 5+ years of experience, a valid license, and preferred HVAC certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associates Degree or technical HVAC certification preferred.
• 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent education/experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Licensing/training as required by local law.
• Rotational Emergency Call Support availability.
• Experience mentoring less experienced technicians.
• EPA Universal Technician Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Current first aid/CPR card preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and service a wide range of commercial HVAC equipment including chillers, rooftop units, and water source heat pumps.
• Repair and replacement of defective components and wiring in HVAC systems.
• Inspect equipment to prevent breakdowns and analyze chiller trend data for optimal performance.
• Lead rebuilds and retrofits of commercial HVAC equipment and mentor junior technicians.
• Document billing, inventory, timecards, and service reports with accuracy.
• Communicate status to customers before, during, and after service calls; explain technical information to all audiences.
• Participate in training programs and maintain required certifications; uphold safety policies and clean work areas.
