Job summary

Walmart in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Senior Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repairs of Walmart facilities' refrigeration and HVAC equipment, using commercial skills and tools.

This role requires extensive experience, a valid driver’s license, EPA certification, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds; you will respond to emergencies and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering reliable service.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Large Scale Rack Refrigeration Experience.
• EPA Type I/II or Universal Certification for refrigerant handling.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR.
• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility's Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and Refrigeration skills and tools.
• Use the work order system to receive repair Work Orders and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training to operate equipment safely.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations per Walmart policies.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights frequently.
