Job summary

Tech24 is seeking a Senior HVAC/R Technician in Urbandale/Des Moines, IA. You will lead diagnostics and repairs of commercial systems, mentor junior techs, and ensure safe, efficient customer service.

The role requires extensive HVAC experience and strong troubleshooting, with a company vehicle, benefits, and ongoing training. The position offers a competitive hourly range, weekly pay, and eligible sign-on bonuses.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial HVAC and refrigeration service experience.
EPA Universal Certification required.
CFESA certification/credentials are a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams and blueprints.
Valid driver’s license with clean record.
Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Perform advanced electrical and mechanical diagnostics.
Lead installations, system replacements and commissioning.
Mentor junior technicians and apprentices.
Ensure preventative maintenance meets company standards.
Document service calls, parts usage, labor hours and repairs.
