Job summary

LeBlanc & Associates in Houma, LA is seeking an HVAC/R Service Technician for installation, troubleshooting, and repair of systems and galley equipment. The role requires collaboration with the service team and customers, strong safety practices, and travel to offshore locations as needed.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of HVAC/R experience, EPA and NATE certifications, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read schematics and perform startup/commissioning tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• EPA certification and NATE credentials are preferred/required.
• Forklift certification is required or preferred.
• Offshore credentials (HUET, OWS, RigPass, SEMS) may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with service department members to complete tasks and maintain safety.
• Execute HVAC/R service tasks with supervision as needed and demonstrate knowledge of current technologies.
• Maintain knowledge of HVAC/R technologies and techniques.
• Keep jobsite organized, clean, and compliant with policies.
• Communicate professionally with Service Manager and customers about project details.
• Minimize customer callbacks after service is performed.
• Perform restart, leak checks, vacuum, refrigerant management, and electrical troubleshooting on systems.
• Understand major system components and basic refrigeration cycles and electrical principles.
• Learn to read electrical schematics and measure using volt/amp meters.
• Complete startup and commissioning reports and project paperwork accurately.
