Job summary

Central Mechanical Construction Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced, full‑time HVAC Service Technician to perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on commercial and industrial systems.

The role requires strong organization, customer communication, and leadership within a 24/7 service environment. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of HVAC/general maintenance experience, EPA Universal Certification, and the ability to travel locally between client sites daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or degree/certification preferred in trades (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, etc.) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of HVAC/general maintenance experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety policies and procedures manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with handheld devices and business software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge of codes, OSHA standards, and company safety policies.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing building mechanical systems.
• Ability to travel locally between client sites daily.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC units, belts, pulleys, and condensate drain lines.
• Test compressors, fans, burners, and safety controls; diagnose and repair faults.
• Repair wiring, piping, and mechanical components as needed; service boilers.
• Provide estimates for larger repairs or projects; maintain service records.
• Maintain safety training and complete weekly safety meetings.
