Job summary

Platform Recruitment is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Baltimore, MD for a hybrid role focused on HVAC design and complex facility projects. The candidate will join a collaborative team delivering calculations, layouts, and construction docs across commercial, institutional, healthcare, and educational facilities.

Ideal applicants have 5–10+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience, strong Revit/BIM skills, and familiarity with building codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
• 5–10+ years of mechanical engineering and HVAC design experience.
• FE or PE license preferred.
• Experience on commercial, institutional, healthcare, or educational facilities.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial projects.
• Prepare calculations, specifications, layouts, and construction documentation.
• Support facility assessments, feasibility studies, and cost estimating.
• Participate in construction administration and site visits.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation and schedules.
• Mentor and support junior engineering staff as needed.
