Job summary

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Check air handling equipment and complete preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate Routine Work Requests with supervisor.
• Trace and locate defects using proper tools.
• Mentor less experienced HVAC and tradespeople.

Skills

Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions

Extensive knowledge of the construction and operation of commercial and research facilities

Skilled in servicing power sources

Ability to work from oral instructions, blueprints, and written work orders

Education

High school diploma or GED

Minimum of 10+ years of experience

Tools

EPA Section 608

R‑410A certification

Indoor Air Quality certification

NATE certification

Preventive Maintenance HVAC certification
