Qualifications

• High school diploma with technical coursework; 3–5 years related experience.
• Valid North Carolina CDL driver’s license required; 12 months to obtain if not on hand.
• North Carolina heating and air conditioning license required.
• Refrigerant Handling Certificate required.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building trades; safety first.

Responsibilities

• Perform journey- and lead-level HVAC work including installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment and controls.
• Install and repair HVAC systems such as VAVs, heat pumps, air conditioners and related devices.
• Perform electrical repair and installation on thermostats and related components.
• Work safely and follow OSHA guidelines; lead crews on projects as needed.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate with supervisory staff.
• Duties may include related trades such as electrical, carpentry and plumbing.
