Job summary

Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority is seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to ensure HVAC systems run smoothly for the Raleigh-Durham Airport. The role covers a wide range of equipment and 24/7 operations, with a 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:00 PM) and on-site duties during emergencies.

The position requires 5 years in a related trade, a valid NC Driver’s License, and the ability to handle weather-related duties such as snow removal and hurricane preparedness. A strong benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years of directly related trade experience required.
• Valid NC Driver’s License required.
• Essential: on-site presence during emergencies/weather events.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains HVAC units and related systems.
• Maintains AHUs, ventilation systems, boilers, hot water and chillers, cooling towers.
• Operates and monitors airport Building Management Systems.
• Supports weather-related operations and emergency readiness.
