Job summary

Traverse City, MI is seeking an HVAC Lead Installer to head residential installation projects from start to finish, delivering quality workmanship and top-tier customer service. You will lead the crew, mentor apprentices, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within labor budgets.

The role requires 4+ years in residential HVAC installation, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work with furnaces, AC systems, and mini-splits. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Experience installing forced-air furnaces, air conditioning, and mini-split systems.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable using tablets and mobile technology.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential HVAC installation projects from start to finish.
• Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-split systems, and related HVAC equipment.
• Coordinate jobsite activities while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Read installation plans and ensure work meets code and company specifications.
• Train and mentor apprentice and junior HVAC installers.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and provide field solutions.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process.
• Educate customers on equipment operation and preventative maintenance.
• Complete job documentation, timecards, and installation paperwork accurately.
• Manage labor hours and help keep projects on budget.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with service technicians, dispatch, and project leadership.
