Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an HVAC Installation Manager in Traverse City, MI to lead the residential installation department and drive safe, on-time, high-quality project delivery.

You will supervise Installers and Apprentices, coordinate with sales and service, manage labor and budgets, and mentor a team in a family-oriented, year-round operation. A strong leader with 7+ years of HVAC install experience is preferred.

Competenze

• 7+ years of residential HVAC installation experience.
• 3+ years in installation leadership or supervision.
• Proven experience leading multiple installation crews.
• Strong knowledge of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Comfortable using tablets and scheduling software.

Mansioni

• Lead and manage the residential HVAC installation department.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Lead Installers, Installers, and Apprentices.
• Schedule installation crews and allocate labor to maximize productivity.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Conduct jobsite visits to inspect workmanship and provide coaching.
• Resolve installation challenges and provide technical support for field teams.
• Coordinate with sales, project management, purchasing, and service departments.
• Monitor labor efficiency, project profitability, and departmental KPIs.
• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train installation personnel.
• Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, manufacturer, and local code requirements.
• Oversee fleet, equipment, inventory, and tool management.
• Address customer concerns professionally and ensure satisfaction.
• Identify opportunities to improve installation processes, efficiency, and quality.
