Job summary

Advocate Health in Illinois Masonic Medical Center (IMMC) in Chicago, IL is seeking a Maintenance Trades Specialist III - HVAC Tech. This full-time role covers 1st and 2nd shifts (Tuesday-Thursday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and Saturday 3:00 PM–11:30 PM) to maintain complex facility systems.

You will diagnose repairs, operate building automation and medical gas systems, read blueprints, and ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in related industrial/trades maintenance or operations.
Trade/Tech School certificate or equivalent.
Advanced technical maintenance knowledge and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
Valid Driver’s License and safety compliance understanding.

Responsibilities

Performs preventive maintenance and technical repairs on complex facility systems.
Diagnoses and repairs utility and infrastructure systems.
Installs, replaces and maintains building, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and controls systems.
Operates and monitors advanced utility equipment and building automation systems; troubleshoots issues.
Maintains vacuum, compressed air, and medical gas systems; reads blueprints and Life Safety drawings.
