Job summary

Continuing Life LLC. in San Diego area seeks a Maintenance Tech III (HVAC) to maintain, repair, and install electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems throughout the community.

The role requires five years of experience with electrical/plant operations, universal refrigeration certification, and the ability to read complex schematics. You will support residents with exemplary service and participate in on-call rotations as part of the Plant Operations team.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of increasing responsibilities and experience in troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems and plant operations equipment.
• Must be knowledgeable in troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and testing electrical controllers, boilers, HVAC, kitchen and laundry equipment, lighting and low voltage systems.
• Universal Refrigeration certification required.
• Ability to read and understand complex electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Basic understanding of state and national electric codes.
• Proficient with automatic lighting schedules and systems.
• Computer proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability to employ safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs, and installs electrical, HVAC and plumbing equipment and systems at the community.
• Collaborates with onsite construction contractor under supervision.
• Performs preventive maintenance, service calls, and emergency maintenance as needed.
• Assists and mentors junior maintenance staff; provides direction and support.
• Performs building and equipment repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance servicing.
