Job summary

City Of Atlanta Careers is seeking an HVAC Supervisor to organize and oversee facility maintenance HVAC, boiler, and roofing operations for the Parks and Recreation department. You will supervise a small team, monitor budgets, and ensure safety standards across multiple facilities.

The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge in building systems, and the ability to coordinate with other divisions. It is a full-time, on-site position with evolving duties as projects arise.

Qualifications

• This role requires knowledge of building maintenance, repair and construction programs and related trades.
• Experience with budgeting, cost estimates and procurement processes is important.
• Ability to supervise, train, and evaluate staff and coordinate with other divisions.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises, reviews, and participates in staff work for facility maintenance.
• Sets schedules, identifies resources, and allocates budgets accordingly.
• Contributes to policy development and ensures compliance with standards.
• Participates in facility maintenance budget preparation and cost justification.
• Monitors supplies, orders tools, and procures equipment or contracts as needed.
• Trains staff in maintenance methods and safety practices; develops preventive programs.
• Attends professional meetings and stays updated on industry trends.
