Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an HVAC Senior Engineer to oversee the central utilities of our state-of-the-art wafer fabrication facilities. The role requires ensuring 24/7/365 operational continuity and solving complex technical challenges in a high-stakes environment.

You will apply FMEA, RCA, and 8D problem solving, lead critical troubleshooting, forecast capacity, and manage maintenance expenditures while driving safety and continuous improvement across SOPs.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years in facilities engineering, mechanical systems, or HVAC/MEP design/construction.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for operation and maintenance of critical facilities equipment.
• Analyze performance using process and equipment data to keep systems within specs.
• Lead troubleshooting, including off-hours responses, to minimize downtime.
• Forecast capacity and develop plans for redundancy and scalability.
• Manage operating expenditures and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
• Refine SOPs and implement global best practices.
• Explore innovative technologies to modernize utility systems.
• Support lifecycle activities from design to commissioning.
