Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor seeks an experienced HVAC Facilities TL Thermal Engineer to support the Taylor, TX fab. The role focuses on oversight of maintenance, reliability improvements, and process optimization for cooling, heating, and general facilities HVAC systems that operate around the clock.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and 8+ years in plant operations or reliability/design engineering.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience.
• Previous experience in plant operations, reliability engineering, or design engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provides oversight and communication to support the needs of operations, instrumentation, maintenance, and external resources to ensure operational sustainability of facilities and equipment.
• Reviews and analyzes process and equipment data to ensure they are running within specifications and sufficient capacity is available to meet operating demand.
• Successfully interfaces with internal customer organizations to sustain uninterrupted operations.
• Improves equipment reliability through FMEA, root cause analysis, and 8D problem solving.
• Support the development and improvement of operations and maintenance procedures/programs to ensure use of best practices.
