Job summary

PHFM | Facilities Maintenance - Interior & Exterior Services is seeking an HVAC Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for commercial HVAC installation, replacement, renovation, and maintenance projects. You will review plans, specs, site conditions, and prepare detailed labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

You will collaborate with PMs, Operations, Sales, and Vendors to ensure complete, competitive estimates and timely proposals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of HVAC/R estimating experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, schedules and project documents to prepare HVAC cost estimates.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for equipment, ductwork, piping, controls and insulation.
• Evaluate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, permits and freight for estimates.
• Review vendor quotations to ensure competitive pricing and adherence to specs.
• Maintain estimating files and historical data for reference.
• Collaborate with project teams to clarify scope and identify value engineering opportunities.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks as needed.
