Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer in Fountain Valley, CA, with a PE license. You will lead HVAC design for commercial and industrial projects, coordinate with estimators, PMs, architects, and field teams, and provide technical mentorship.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years of HVAC design experience, and a strong command of AutoCAD and Revit. This role offers a path to Engineer of Record responsibilities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Active PE license required.
• Minimum 3 years HVAC engineering and design experience.
• Strong knowledge of air distribution and hydronic systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and engineering of commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
• Perform heating and cooling load calculations and energy analysis.
• Develop HVAC system layouts, equipment selections, and technical specifications.
• Review engineering drawings, calculations, and design documents.
• Coordinate with project managers, estimators, BIM teams, architects, and field personnel.
• Support design-build projects from conceptual design through construction completion.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Participate in value engineering to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Attend client and coordination meetings and project site visits.
• Assist with commissioning activities and system performance evaluations.
• Troubleshoot engineering challenges and provide technical solutions.
• Serve as Engineer of Record when required.
