Giga Energy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to own HVAC and mechanical system design for AI data center infrastructure from concept through construction documents. You will perform load calculations, hydronic modeling, ductwork and piping sizing, and equipment selections, delivering fully built designs.

You will work in person from one of our offices (Houston, TX, or other listed locations) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely, quality outcomes.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of professional HVAC design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP for system design and modeling.
• Experience with Trane Trace or Carrier HAP for load calculations.
• Experience with PipeFlo or similar hydronic system modeling software.
• Strong knowledge of ICC/UPC codes and ASHRAE standards (62.1, 90.1, 90.4).
• Demonstrated competence in load calculations, piping and ductwork sizing.

Mansioni

• Lead detailed HVAC mechanical design for data center facilities, from schematic design through construction documents.
• Perform load calculations, psychrometric analysis, ductwork and piping sizing, equipment selections.
• Model hydronic systems using PipeFlo or equivalent software.
• Develop system models and energy analyses using Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, or similar tools.
• Produce design documentation in AutoCAD and Revit MEP, maintaining coordination-ready models.
• Apply ICC/UPC codes and ASHRAE standards to ensure compliant designs.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate mechanical systems into the broader facility design.
• Interface with equipment vendors and contractors to validate selections and support procurement.
• Support construction administration, RFIs, and submittal reviews.
