Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking a Senior HVAC Energy Engineer based in California, with travel across the state. The role leads energy-efficiency projects, develops measurement methodologies, and delivers savings quantification for SEM Commercial and Industrial Programs.

The candidate should have 6–8 years in energy efficiency consulting, a BS in Engineering, and strong writing skills; PE license preferred and field audit experience is desirable. Travel across CA is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required or equivalent
• 6–8 years in energy efficiency consulting, program implementation, or related field
• PE license preferred
• M&V certification is a plus
• Field experience in energy audits and verification inspections
• BAS/Rcx experience beneficial
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office; SQL/Power BI a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead site visits to identify energy savings opportunities at commercial/industrial sites.
• Calculate and report energy and demand savings and CO2 reductions.
• Develop technical documents and lead content quality reviews.
• Provide project oversight and ensure client satisfaction.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support SEM programs.
• Apply HVAC and BAS/RCx knowledge for on-site and virtual assessments.
