Job summary

CLEAResult is seeking a Senior SEM Energy Engineer to lead energy efficiency initiatives across California, with Bay Area or LA base and occasional travel to AZ/UT/NV. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, quantifying savings, and delivering robust energy efficiency and DSM solutions.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years in energy efficiency consulting, PE license preferred, and are proficient in MS Office with SQL/Power BI familiarity.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (mechanical or electrical) required.
• 6–8 years of applicable experience in energy efficiency consulting or program implementation.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Measurement and verification certification desired.
• Field experience in energy audits and verification inspections.
• BAS/RCx experience.
• Strong writing and communication abilities; ability to convey findings to diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SQL/Power BI a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead site visits to identify energy savings opportunities at commercial/industrial sites.
• Calculate and report energy and demand savings and greenhouse gas reductions per SEM guidelines.
• Prepare technical documents and perform content quality reviews.
• Provide project oversight and maintain client satisfaction.
• Collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team to support energy efficiency programs.
• Apply HVAC, Building Automation Systems expertise to identify opportunities.
• Develop and justify energy savings calculation methodologies.
