Job summary

The RISE Group, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Controls Technician in Fall River, MA. You will install, program, maintain, and troubleshoot automatic temperature control systems across commercial HVAC projects, with daily travel to job sites in MA and RI.

You will read and interpret schematics, collaborate with technicians and clients, and ensure safety and quality across installations. This role requires 5+ years in HVAC controls and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in HVAC technology, troubleshooting, system controls and repairs.
• EPA Universal refrigerant certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documents.
• Knowledge of safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, maintain, and troubleshoot automatic temperature control systems.
• Perform project startup, checkout, and troubleshooting for installed systems and service jobs.
• Make necessary adjustments and calibrations.
• Create commissioning reports for projects.
• Respond to customer service calls, diagnosing and repairing control systems.
• Provide technical support for end-users and mechanical field technicians.
• Perform system upgrades and controller cutovers.
• Perform wiring checkout and assist in systems start-ups.
• Perform programming sequence checkout.
• Work independently.
• Assist in the training of other technicians.
• Interpret HVAC and electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints to ensure proper installation and service.
• Work in a professional manner in both occupied finish spaces and construction sites.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards during all installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
