Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas Inc. seeks a full-time Controls Technician III in Dallas, TX to install, program, and service commercial building digital control systems onsite. You will diagnose, maintain, and modify BAS, train technicians, and ensure safety and quality across projects.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 5+ years of related experience with a valid driver's license. OSHA 10 is expected within 90 days of hire as part of onboarding.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical training and 5+ years of experience.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Rotational emergency call support as required.
• OSHA 10 within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive customer service and build long-term relationships.
• Identify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and retrofit modifications as needed.
• Maintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs and programming.
• Provide controls technical support to HVAC technicians.
• Train and mentor less experienced technicians.
• Create and/or implement programming and graphics for new installations and retrofit projects.
• Commission controls installations and verify control sequences meet specs.
• Record billing, inventory, timecards, and reports in a timely manner.
• Explain technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Participate in regional training and Daikin Learning.
• Maintain required certifications and continue skill development.
