Job summary

Honeywell International, Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking a Lead Field Service HVAC Controls/BAS Technician to provide advanced technical support for HVAC control systems and building automation.

You will lead a team of technicians and report to the Service Manager, working from the Herndon location on a remote work schedule. You will diagnose complex issues, program DDC controllers, and configure Honeywell platforms such as Spyder, CIPer, WEBs, EBI, and Niagara-based systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in HVAC controls and BAS.
• 3+ years programming and configuring HVAC control systems (DDC).
• Strong troubleshooting of HVAC control issues.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite installation, commissioning, and service of Honeywell BAS and HVAC equipment.
• Mentor junior technicians and subcontractors for quality and timeliness.
• Troubleshoot advanced HVAC control systems (VAVs, AHUs, chillers, boilers).
• Program and commission Honeywell platforms (Spyder, CIPer, WEBs, EBI, Niagara).
• Interpret drawings and sequences of operation to ensure proper integration.
• Coordinate with supervisors, PMs, engineers, customers and other trades.
• Identify energy efficiency improvements and system optimization.
• Maintain documentation and as-built drawings per Honeywell standards.
• Ensure safety and compliance with Honeywell policies.
