Job summary

Daikin Applied, the world’s largest HVAC company, seeks a skilled Controls Technician III - Niagara Specialist in Lincoln, NE. You will program and commission advanced building automation systems using Niagara, lead integration projects, and mentor junior technicians in Niagara workflows.

The role demands strong experience with Niagara frameworks, BACnet/Modbus, and system upgrades, with onsite Lincoln-based duties and safety-compliant execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HVAC controls experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent education/experience.
• Niagara N4 and/or Niagara AX Certification (preferred).
• Valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
• Experience with integration protocols such as BACnet MST/IP, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet OIP, MQTT.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and deploy building automation systems using Niagara Framework to support HVAC control strategies.
• Lead commissioning activities including point-to-point verification and functional testing.
• Design and implement integration solutions across multiple platforms and protocols.
• Install, troubleshoot, and service digital control systems for reliable operation.
• Provide advanced BAS support including diagnostics and repairs.
• Mentor junior technicians and share Niagara programming best practices.
• Maintain documentation, as-builts, and sequences of operation.
