Job summary

Skillforce is seeking a seasoned Commercial HVAC Controls Technician to troubleshoot, install, service, start up, and commission HVAC controls and BAS in commercial environments. The role requires strong electrical troubleshooting, low-voltage wiring, and the ability to read control panels and schematics, with EPA Universal Certification and a valid driver’s license.

This 1st shift position offers 40-45 hours per week with pay up to $36 per year based on experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience with HVAC controls and BAS.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and low-voltage wiring knowledge.
• Experience reading control panels, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Startup and commissioning of HVAC controls and systems.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, install, and service HVAC controls on commercial systems.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting of control circuits, panels, wiring, sensors, actuators, dampers, and related components.
• Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring.
• Read and interpret control panels, schematics, and sequences of operation.
• Startup and commissioning of HVAC controls and BAS.
• Identify and correct wiring and control issues; use electrical test equipment for diagnostics.
• Communicate with customers, project managers, HVAC technicians, electricians, and field personnel.
• Maintain safety and organization; provide guidance to less-experienced technicians.
