Liberty Personnel Services, Inc. is hiring an HVAC Controls Service Technician to support commercial, healthcare, educational, and industrial facilities throughout Virginia.

This hands-on field role focuses on BAS troubleshooting, service, maintenance, and repair, with a company vehicle for local travel. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing BAS/DDC systems, starting up controls, reading schematics, coordinating with customers and project teams, and documenting activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC Controls/BAS experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to read schematics and control drawings.
• Experience with BAS platforms (Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens, Trane, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and service HVAC controls and BAS/DDC systems.
• Commission and start up controls systems and verify proper operation.
• Service controllers, sensors, actuators, wiring, and related control components.
• Install, wire, replace, and modify BAS equipment as needed.
• Read electrical schematics, control drawings, and sequences of operation.
• Troubleshoot commercial HVAC equipment and associated controls.
• Work directly with customers, facility personnel, and project teams.
• Respond to service calls and critical system issues.
• Document service activities and provide customer support/training.

HVAC CONTROLS SERVICE TECHNICIAN

BAS | Building Automation | HVAC Controls

A respected and growing Building Automation / HVAC Controls contractor is seeking to add to the team a HVAC Controls Service Technician to support commercial, healthcare, educational, and industrial facilities throughout the Greater Richmond / Northern Virginia areas.

This is a hands-on field position focused on BAS troubleshooting, HVAC controls service, maintenance, and repair. A company vehicle is provided for local/regional travel.

Job Duties:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and service HVAC controls and BAS/DDC systems
• Commission and start up controls systems and verify proper operation
• Service controllers, sensors, actuators, wiring, and related control components
• Install, wire, replace, and modify BAS equipment as needed
• Read electrical schematics, control drawings, and sequences of operation
• Troubleshoot commercial HVAC equipment and associated controls
• Work directly with customers, facility personnel, and project teams
• Respond to service calls and critical system issues
• Document service activities and provide customer support/training

Experience Sought:

• ~3+ years of HVAC Controls / BAS experience
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Solid understanding of commercial HVAC equipment and electrical controls
• Ability to read schematics and control drawings
• Experience with one or more BAS platforms, including: Johnson Controls, Honeywell, Siemens, Trane, Automated Logic, Schneider Electric, Tridium Niagara, Distech, Alerton, Delta, Reliable, or similar
• Experience with BACnet, Modbus, or LON is a plus
• Niagara AX/N4 experience or certification is a plus
• Programming experience is a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license
