Job summary

Honeywell International Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Advanced Field Service Engineer - HVAC Controls/BAS. Expect onsite commissioning and advanced service of BAS/HVAC systems with a hybrid work schedule.

You will troubleshoot complex control issues, program DDC systems, and provide guidance to field technicians while coordinating with project teams to meet schedules and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in HVAC controls and BAS.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and BAS technologies.
• Proficient in troubleshooting complex HVAC control issues.
• Experience programming and configuring HVAC control systems, including DDC controllers.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, HVAC Technology, or related field.
• Niagara (Niagara 4) Certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• NICET Level I or II certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred or attainable within 12 months.
• Advanced knowledge of Honeywell BAS platforms (Spyder, CIPer, WEBs, EBI).
• Strong troubleshooting across HVAC controls, DDC systems, and open protocols.
• Experience providing advanced field service support and coordinating onsite activities.
• Strong customer communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite installation, commissioning, and advanced service of BAS and HVAC controls.
• Diagnose and resolve complex HVAC control issues involving BAS components.
• Provide advanced technical support to field technicians and subcontractors.
• Program, configure, and commission HVAC control systems including DDC controllers.
• Interpret drawings and sequences of operation to validate functionality.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, customers, and trades to meet schedules.
• Identify energy efficiency opportunities and system optimization.
• Ensure documentation, redlines, and as-built drawings meet Honeywell standards.
• Maintain safety compliance and quality requirements on site.
