Job summary

Welty Energy, an affiliate of Welty Building Company, LLC., is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to lead the technical review process for high voltage transmission line projects and ensure compliance with client standards.

The role involves coordination with client engineering groups, mentoring junior staff, and occasional site visits. Remote work is possible with 15–20% travel; relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or electrical engineering from ABET accredited university is preferred.
• 6–10+ years of experience as a Transmission Line Engineer in design engineering of high voltage lines (34kV–500kV).
• PE license is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical reviews of high-voltage transmission line designs (34kV–500kV).
• Perform analysis/modeling of wood, steel, and lattice structures.
• Prepare construction plan documents per project requirements.
• Perform QA/QC reviews of all work products.
• Assist with proposal preparations and client interface.
• Mentor junior engineering staff and support project management.
