Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to sit in any US office. Lead the detailed engineering and construction support for 69 kV to 500 kV transmission projects, from concept through implementation.

You will coordinate design engineers, prepare specs and drawings, liaise with clients and contractors, and mentor staff while delivering high-quality, on-schedule deliverables. This role offers exposure to diverse projects across Power Delivery with opportunities to advance within the

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and expectations.
• Experience modeling transmission lines in PLS suite and creating route alignments.
• Experience with design drawings for various transmission structures.
• Familiar with ASCE, ACI, IEEE, NESC and GO-95 standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of specs, calculations, drawings and tender documents.
• Coordinate design engineers and staff to ensure on-scope, on-budget delivery.
• Write and edit technical reports and studies.
• Liaise with clients and contractors and coordinate with permitting agencies.
• Collaborate across disciplines to support diverse power delivery projects.
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement.
