Job summary

American Electric Power (AEP) in Lawton, OK seeks an entry-level Station Engineer to provide engineering and technical support for transmission substations and high-voltage equipment. The role collaborates with TFS Station personnel, P&C, Engineering, Operations, and contractors to ensure safe, reliable operation of the transmission system.

You will assist in equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modernization while serving as a technical resource for field

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination is encouraged and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and technical support for transmission substation equipment and systems.
• Assist field personnel with troubleshooting, equipment failures, abnormal conditions, and condition assessments.
• Participate in project scoping, design reviews, commissioning, and closeout with cross-functional teams.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs and reliability improvements.
• Develop and review station documentation, equipment configuration, and regulatory compliance.
