Job summary

Hydrogen Group is seeking a Senior Validation Technician to support development, testing and validation of high-voltage power electronics for automotive systems. This on-site Palo Alto role focuses on hands-on testing, instrumentation, and troubleshooting to ensure robust validation across the product lifecycle.

You will work with engineering teams to set up tests, document results, and drive corrective actions while handling environmental validation and HV safety with precision and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in electronics, mechanics or related discipline preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience conducting environmental validation testing.
• At least 3 years of experience fabricating specialised electronic test equipment and test harnesses.
• Experience with high-voltage electrical systems and HV safety procedures.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, power supplies, digital multimeters, flowmeters and related lab equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and datasheets.
• Experience configuring instrumentation for validation activities.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Set up, execute and document development and validation tests on high-voltage power electronics systems.
• Conduct environmental testing including thermal, vibration, humidity, corrosion and electrical performance testing.
• Record, analyse and document test results and prepare technical reports.
• Support root-cause investigations and troubleshooting of validation issues.
• Work with engineering teams to support development, testing requirements and issue resolution.
