Job summary

Brunel is partnering with SB Energy to hire an HV Project Manager / Senior Project Manager – Data Center Power in Pike County, Ohio. You will lead high‑voltage infrastructure delivery as SB Energy’s Owner’s Representative, coordinating engineers, EPCs, utilities, and suppliers to deliver on time, within budget, and with safety at the forefront.

The Senior PM level will oversee larger scopes, drive key commercial decisions, and mentor delivery personnel while ensuring alignment with campus

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field (Electrical/Construction/Engineering).
4–7 years for Project Manager; 7+ years for Senior Project Manager in HV projects.
Experience with utilities, EPC firms, data centers, or similar infra.
Strong knowledge of HV substations, transmission line construction, interconnection processes, protection and controls.
Experience managing EPC contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage budgets, schedules, forecasts, and risks.
Proven delivery of complex infrastructure against tight schedules; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

Lead HV infrastructure projects (transmission lines, substations, interconnections) and related electrical infrastructure.
Serve as SB Energy’s primary PM contact for EPCs, utilities, suppliers, and commissioning teams.
Manage transition from development through energization and turnover.
Maintain execution plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, forecasts, and risk registers.
Coordinate with development, design, construction, operations, procurement, finance, legal, and permitting teams.
Oversee contractor field execution, staffing, progress, quality, and safety compliance.
Lead meetings, identify constraints, and drive issue resolution across design, procurement, construction, and site.
Evaluate schedules, progress, payments, change orders, notices, and records.
Develop recovery plans to protect cost, schedule, quality, or energization milestones.
Collaborate with engineers to manage deliverables, RFIs, submittals, and technical issues.
Coordinate interfaces among transmission, substation, protection and controls, SCADA, and data center campus infra.
Oversee procurement for long-lead equipment (transformers, breakers, switchgear, etc).
Track manufacturing, inspections, delivery, and installation readiness; escalate risks.
Interface with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, regulators, and authorities; manage energization sequencing.
Own budgets, forecasts, contingencies, cost reporting, and risks.
Provide status updates with risks and decisions; support commissioning and energization readiness.
Coordinate testing plans, outages, inspections, and approvals; ensure turnover materials are delivered.
Close out contracts and transition completed infra to operations.
