Senior Human Resources Specialist Location: National Capital Region (NCR) Clearance: Secret (S) Education: Bachelor’s degree Experience: 10 years Responsibilities: The Senior Human Resources Specialist provides expert human resources support in a Government environment requiring knowledge of USG, OPM, and DoW hiring laws, rules, regulations, processes, and documentation standards. The position supports compliant, timely, and accurate HR actions while protecting sensitive personnel information subject to the Privacy Act. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Provide senior-level HR support involving Government hiring processes, personnel actions, workforce documentation, records management, and coordination. * Apply expert knowledge of USG, OPM, and DoW hiring laws, rules, regulations, and requirements. * Prepare, review, edit, scan, organize, and route HR documentation with exceptional attention to grammar, punctuation, clarity, completeness, and accuracy. * Use Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, document scanning equipment, and standard Government office tools to produce, manage, and archive HR products. * Apply thorough knowledge of the Privacy Act and its application to HR office functions, including misuse or improper disclosure risks. * Coordinate HR actions through appropriate Government structures, processes, and points of contact. * Maintain HR tracking tools, continuity files, SOPs, and status reports to ensure assigned actions are visible and completed on time. Qualifications: The candidate must have the following qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree. * Minimum of 10 years of relevant human resources experience. * Active Secret clearance. * Expertise in USG, OPM, and DoW hiring laws, rules, regulations, and requirements. * Thorough knowledge of grammar and punctuation with the ability to write clearly and succinctly. * Thorough familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Acrobat, and document scanning equipment. * Demonstrated experience with DoW structures and processes. * Must have demonstrated experience with DoW human resources policies and processes (e.g. civilian/military career management, appraisal/performance, leave and benefits programs). * Must have thorough knowledge of the Privacy Act and its application to the HR office functions and implication of misuse of data subject to the Privacy Act. The following qualifications are desired: * Familiarity with DARPA structure and processes. * DoW or DARPA experience. * Experience supporting HR operations for S&T, RDT&E, national security, or advanced mission organizations. * Experience developing HR SOPs, continuity books, process maps, or workflow tools. Travel: Occasional local travel for customer coordination, onboarding support, meetings, or records-related actions.
