Overview

The Plant Senior Human Resources Generalist is responsible for operational HR functions in the plant. They support the goals of the HR division, ensuring responsive and value-added services to all employees. The primary duties include:

  1. Understanding, following, and enforcing all established safety, health, quality, and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  2. Serving as a link between employees, operations, and corporate HR by handling questions, interpreting and administering company policies, and helping to resolve work-related problems.
  3. Preparing and maintaining employment, pay, and benefit records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, or promotions.
  4. Managing and facilitating temporary labor needs.
  5. Collecting and inputting information for payroll, benefit enrollment, and HRIS activities.
  6. Handling employee relations issues such as work complaints, harassment allegations, or other concerns in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  7. Advising and collaborating with supervisors and managers on organizational policies, disciplinary procedures, and performance management.
  8. Completing reports such as headcount, turnover, and other ad hoc reports.
  9. Developing and maintaining procedures aimed at improving the quality and delivery of HR programs/services.
  10. Travel may be required (0-25%).

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree preferred or required, in HR or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources position.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude while providing exemplary customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters.
  • Strong collaboration skills, proactively contributing to group objectives and volunteering to help others.
  • Familiarity with employment laws (including FMLA and ADA) and payroll processing procedures.
  • Extensive experience navigating HRIS and Payroll Systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Experience with high-volume employee onboarding is strongly desired.
  • Comfortable in conflict resolution situations.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected salary range aligns with legal mandates in certain U.S. jurisdictions. Final compensation depends on individual qualifications and experience.
