Job summary

Clayton Homes is seeking a Sr. HR Generalist to lead core HR functions including employee relations, onboarding, compliance, training and benefits administration. You will advise leaders, manage interviews and onboarding, and support engagement initiatives while maintaining strict confidentiality.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (HR certification preferred) and 3+ years HR experience, with strong knowledge of employment law and HR payroll/timekeeping systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate initiatives that promote employee morale, appreciation, and a positive workplace environment.
  • Organize and support engagement activities, including surveys, workshops, and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain HRIS data accuracy, process Workday transactions, and complete compliance-related documentation.
  • Contribute to change management efforts and help drive continuous improvement across HR processes.
  • Evaluate HR metrics such as turnover, engagement, and performance, and recommend actionable improvements.

Position Summary:

Leads core HR functions including employee relations, recruitment & onboarding, compliance, training & development and benefits & well-being administration. Ensures compliance with policies and provide guidance to team members and supervisors. Partners with TMX Manager on facility level programs to support employee engagement.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Work may require stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, pushing, and / or pulling. Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others. Work environment is not temperature controlled and may result in exposure to extreme temperatures. Work primarily involves sitting / standing, up to 4 hours at a time.
