Rise48 Equity is seeking a highly capable Senior HR Generalist to own and execute core HR functions with a strong focus on compliance, payroll, employee engagement, and scalable systems. This role is ideal for an experienced HR Generalist who thrives in hands-on execution, multi-state compliance, and operational ownership in a fast-growing organization.
The Senior HR Generalist will serve as a trusted partner to leadership, ensuring HR operations are compliant, efficient, and positioned to scale as Rise48 expands into new markets.
Mission
To support employee compensation, compliance, and engagement while maintaining a healthy, consistent, and compliant work environment across all markets.
1. Own Core HR Operations & Compliance
- Own and continuously improve HR processes across the full employee lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states
- Draft, maintain, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to leaders and managers on employee relations, performance, and compliance matters
2. Own Payroll Execution
- Own payroll processing accuracy, timing, and compliance for W-2 employees and contractors
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate compensation, audits, and reporting
- Support and help execute any implementations needed for HRIS systems
- Respond to payroll-related questions and issues in a timely manner
3. Own Employee Engagement & Performance Support
- Support employee engagement initiatives aligned with company culture
- Assist with performance management cycles, feedback processes, and accountability rhythms
- Provide guidance to managers on performance issues, corrective actions, and documentation
- Help ensure a consistent and fair employee experience across all locations
4. Own Workers’ Compensation Compliance & Claims Management
- Manage workers’ compensation claims, including timely reporting, documentation, and follow-up
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employees, managers, insurance carriers, and claims administrators
- Coordinate medical updates, work restrictions, accommodations, and return-to-work processes
- Ensure compliance with applicable state workers’ compensation laws and reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate claims records and support annual audits and renewals
- Monitor claims and trends to identify opportunities to improve workplace safety and reduce future claims
Additional Responsibilities
- Support HR operations for approximately 300 employees across AZ, CO, MN, NC, TX, with continued expansion
- Manage high-volume onboarding and offboarding, especially for property management and field-based roles
- Support both on-site and remote employee populations
- Maintain accurate employee records, audits, and reporting
- Drive HR process improvements, documentation, and automations
- Partner with the Director of Performance & Culture on workforce planning and engagement initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience
- Senior HR Generalist or equivalent role
- 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience
- Proven multi-state HR compliance experience (required)
- Experience in property management, hospitality, or field-based environments strongly preferred
- Experience in Rippling is a plus
- Bilingual is a plus
