Job summary

IDE group seeks a Senior Human Factors Engineer to lead user research and human factors activities across ventures and medical products. Based in the Minneapolis, MN office, you will partner with global locations to balance quality, time, and budget while driving value in new products and services.

You will guide generative, definition, and evaluation activities, conduct formative and summative studies, and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree in Design, Human Factors Engineering, or a related discipline required.
• 5+ years of relevant human factors/usability engineering experience.
• Knowledge of human factors principles and techniques for hardware/software products.

Responsibilities

• Lead generative user research to identify user needs and translate them into requirements.
• Evaluate concepts and prototypes; perform workflow and use error analyses.
• Plan and conduct formative usability testing and summative validation testing.
• Engage in prospecting, proposal building, and client interactions for HF capabilities.
• Provide mentorship and leadership within the team and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
