Job summary

Crux Product Design Ltd in Boston is seeking an Advanced Human Factors Engineer to lead HF activities across all development phases, influencing product design, usability, and patient safety.

You will design usability strategies, conduct desk and field research, perform risk assessments, analyze data, and produce concise reports for diverse stakeholders while building trusted client relationships. Travel to support global project delivery is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience applying Human Factors techniques and standards for medical device development, including IEC62366 and FDA Human Factors Regulation.
• Skilled in moderating varied user research and guiding participants.
• Experience in data capture, analysis and reporting to inform design recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Design usability strategies aligned with client goals.
• Conduct desk and field research, use-related risk assessments, formative and summative studies.
• Analyze data to generate actionable insights and design recommendations.
• Produce clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Build trusted client relationships and identify new opportunities for usability services.
• Upskill colleagues and promote Human Factors best practices.
• Support new business development and scope future work.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of HF processes and team capabilities.
