Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Puget Sound seeks a HUD-VASH Senior Social Worker to provide clinical case management and housing stability support for Veterans and families.

The role requires an MSW from a CSWE-accredited school, an advanced practice license, and at least two years post-licensure experience in a specialized area. Responsibilities include biopsychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and coordination with VA and community partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Senior social workers must be licensed or certified at the advanced practice level with supervision eligibility.
• Two years of post-licensure experience in a specialized social work area; one year at GS-11 level.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English as required by VA rules.
• Citizen of the United States; valid licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical case management to Veterans and families in HUD-VASH.
• Perform home visits to support independence and safety in the community.
• Assess Veterans through biopsychosocial assessments and reassessments.
• Develop and monitor housing stability and treatment plans with Veterans.
