The Clinical Social Worker at the Columbia VAMC HUD/VASH Program provides integrated case management and psychosocial interventions to Veterans and their families, under supervision. This GS-09/GS-11 role requires an MSW, state licensure, and VA suitability.

You will assess needs, formulate treatment plans, coordinate referrals, and collaborate with community partners to support housing stability and Veteran well-being within a Veteran-centered, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program is required.
• Licensure/certification by a state to independently practice social work at the MSW level is required.
• GS-11 requires one year of post-MSW experience and licensure or certification.
• VHA may waive licensure requirements at GS-09 as described in policy.

Aufgaben

• Utilize a veteran-centered approach to provide interventions and counseling for Veterans, their families, caregivers, and survivors.
• Assess psychosocial functioning, formulate and implement treatment plans, and identify needs and supports.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients, staff, and community agencies.
• Have knowledge of medical and mental health diagnoses and terminology to inform care.
