Job summary

Lilly Indianapolis is seeking a Sr. Principal Associate – Environmental to lead waste management across the Indianapolis campuses and designated operations.

You will define strategy, standards, and governance for hazardous and non-hazardous waste, interfacing with regulators and third parties to reduce liability and ensure compliance. The role requires deep regulatory knowledge, end-to-end program ownership, and collaboration with manufacturing, procurement, and site leadership to embed waste

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in hazardous/non-hazardous waste management.
• Experience owning an environmental program end to end.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Program Owner for hazardous and non-hazardous waste management.
• Define multi-year waste management strategy for Indianapolis sites.
• Establish and improve waste standards, governance, and supplier oversight.
• Lead audits, regulatory interfaces, and third-party contractor management.
• Drive waste minimization, recycling, and data reporting initiatives.
